Fernand W., accused of 16 murders and 167 beatings, owned life and death in Breendonk. He dreamed of becoming number one and competing with Karel Sys, the legendary boxing champion, in the Sportpaleis. He wanted to enter the history books as a hero. Just before the ‘trial of the century’ starts in 1946, Fernand W. is no longer a hero. His downfall is inevitable. He is haunted by a mixture of memories, fears and visions. Has he learnt his lesson?

The play is based on the book ‘Breendonk, chronicle of a forgotten camp’ by Jos Vander Velpen.
